TechniData CLP Implementation Package helps comply with CLP Regulation
With the notification deadline fast approaching companies need to increase the pace of adopting the Classsifcation, Labeling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation. TechniData CLP Implementation Package helps companies accelerate this process and ensure that changes are done reliably and efficiently. This package is based on TechniData’s experience in helping many companies achieve compliance with CLP since it came into force in the European Union in January 2009 . The package includes a set of practical tools and best practices to generate new and adapt existing labels and safety data sheets to meet the new requirements. In addition, the TechniData CLP Implementation Package supports companies in notifying the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) of those substances affected by CLP in time for the deadline in December 2010.

C4you success story continues
TechniData’s C4you recent user conference built on the success of the previous three years’ events. In its fourth outing, the Chemicals Compliance Customer Conference reinforced its role as the leading European forum for EHS management in the process industry. On September 23 and 24, executives, EHS managers and product stewards from all over Europe took up TechniData’s invitation to come to Frankfurt am Main to discuss topical issues relating to chemical safety.

SAP Increases Focus on Sustainable Business
SAP AG yesterday announced a long-term strategic focus on sustainability, covering both its own operations and customer solutions for more sustainable business practices. First, to help its customers with their sustainability efforts, SAP, together with TechniData AG, unveiled expanded solutions for environment, health and safety (EHS) management. In addition, to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable operations internally, SAP announced it will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions down to its year-2000 levels by the year 2020. And, moving forward, SAP announced that its sustainability efforts will be led by a newly formed cross-functional sustainability organization headed by SAP’s first chief sustainability officer.

Ready for GHS – TechniData CLEO provides the EU’s new GHS content
On January 20, 2009, the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) comes into force in the European Union (EC 1272/2008). In order to ensure the industry affected remains competitive, TechniData has expanded its content solution TechniData CLEO for SAP EH&S and will offer the necessary content when this directive comes into effect.
